    Ali Shams Ardekani, Ph.D

    Founding Chairman

    Dr Shams Ardekani is the founding Chairman of Narkangan Gas to Liquid International Co., Kavir Industries and Kish Investment Group Co. He is also the president of the Iran Business For Future. Past experiences include Advisory roles for the Ministry of Oil, Planning and Development and the Ministry of Industry and Mining. Dr Shams Ardekani was a Member of the Energy Committee of the National Research Council, Secretary General of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Minister of Mines and Metals for Economics and International Affairs, President of the Asian Energy Institute, President of the UN Disarmament Conference, Ambassador at Large for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of Iran to Kuwait. He was also the Founding President of the Qeshm Free Zone Authority.

    Houshang Javadi, B.Sc. Eng.

    Chair Person

    Mr. Javadi has been a Director of Narkangan Gas to Liquid International Co since the formation of the company.  He is also the Project Director for the Shiraz GTL project in Kohenjan, which will be Iran’s first commercial GTL plant. Prior to this Mr. Javadi was the Chairman of Petrochemical Industries Design and Engineering Company (PIDEC) and Erection and Construction Company (ECC), together one of Iran’s pre-eminent EPC contractors. As Chairman of PIDEC and ECC, Mr. Javadi oversaw the development of Iran’s petrochemical sector and was instrumental in the establishment of these two institutions as international players in the petrochemical industry. Under his leadership, PIDEC won numerous contracts, including 3 methanol plants of various sizes, MTBE plant and two Ammonia/urea plants. Mr. Javadi is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers and other professional organizations in Iran.

    Tazhibi

    Farideh Tazhibi, MS

    Vice Chair Person

    Ms. Tazhibi has joined the Board of Directors of Narkangan Gas to Liquid International Company in 2008. Ms. Tazhibi is currently Member of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) group of experts, member of drafting group for revision of Uniform Rules for Demand Guaratees, Secretary of Banking Commission- Iranian National Committee of ICC and Arbitrator of Iranian Chamber of

    Commerce Arbitration Centre. She also teaches courses on Anti Money Laundering, Guarantees for experts in Central bank of Iran (CBI).and the Banking System. Ms. Tazhibi has been a veteran Central banker in the past twenty years. She was Superintendent of Supervision Department of CBI and Finance Manager for negotiating

    foreign loans at CBI. Ms. Tazhibi has B.A. in Law & political Science and M.A. in International Law from Tehran University. Ms. Tazhibi is the author of several books on Money Laundering and Guarantee Regulation.

    Narsi Ghorban, Ph.D

    Director

    Dr Ghorban is the Managing Director of Narkangan Gas To Liquid International Co., Chairman of Qeshm Energy International, Secretary of Commission on Environment & Energy of International Chamber of Commerce Iran's Committee  and Director of the International Institute for Caspian Studies (IICS). Dr Ghorban has a B.Sc. from the American University of Beirut, an M.Phil from Brunel University, UK, and a Ph.D. in Petroleum Economics from the University of London. Dr. Ghorban has been an independent energy consultant in UK and Iran since 1979 in which position he has consulted several organizations and international companies including Organization of Petroleum exporting Countries (OPEC). He has also worked with the Institute for Political and International Studies, the Institute for International Energy Studies and a number of Iranian companies engaged in oil, gas and petrochemicals business in Iran.
    Dr. Ghorban is a fellow of the Institute of Energy, member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs and member of the International Institute of Strategic Studies in the United Kingdom. Dr. Ghorban is a member of the Iran Association of Energy Economics in Iran as well as a member of the International Institute for Caspian Studies in Tehran. Dr. Ghorban has published many articles and scientific papers in various international journals.
